The 34th Annual SRC Users' Meeting will be held October 12 - 13, 2001 and will take place on the Kegonsa Research Campus which comprises the Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL), the Center for NanoTechnology (CNTech), and the Synchrotron Radiation Center (SRC) (map).

The meeting will start at 8:30 AM Friday the 12th and will end at noon on Saturday. It includes oral sessions, the Users' business meeting, a poster session on Friday afternoon, a Friday night cookout, the Aladdin Lamp Award presentation, and an award for best poster.  Breaks will be held in the adjoining PSL library which include snacks and beverages.

The oral session will be held in the large conference room of the PSL located next to the SRC.  This session will include talks on the the status of the SRC from our new director, Joe Bisognano; an update on beam lines and instrumentation; brief talks about recent research highlights, and longer, tutorial-style talks about various fields of research.

All Users are strongly encouraged to present a poster and to submit a one-page abstract about their recent work at the SRC (see the author guidelines).

The deadline for abstract submission is October 1st.  Preferred submission is by e-mail or hard copy to Pam Layton.  Registration is available online or can be sent by fax or mail (see the contact information). Payment by check can be made when you arrive. (Credit cards are not accepted).

This Users' Meeting is a great opportunity to meet other Users and to learn more about the current research conducted at the SRC.  Please feel free to contact us for any suggestions or questions regarding this meeting.

We look forward to seeing you in October!
