SRC Quantum Lunch
Quantitative Evaluation of Electron Transport Properties for Novel Materials Professor Tsunehiro Takeuchi of Nagoya University’s EcoTopia Science Institue
About the Research:
High-resolution angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy is a powerful tool not only to directly observe the electronic states but also to develop functional electronic materials. This was well proved by our recent work on the layered cobalt oxides as a promising candidate of a practical thermoelectric material.
We are now investigating unusual properties observed for some novel materials, partly because it is purely interesting in science and partly because we can develop some new devices with them that we have never had before.
We came here from Japan because SRC provides an efficient ARPES system with high flux beam lines. Such a nice system is not provided in any Japanese synchrotron radiation facilities.
