SRC Operations Bulletin
In this announcement, information on special conditions for machine operations, unusual accelerator vault closings, morning and weekend shifts plans, and other items of interest to our users community will be posted.  Also, see the "Daily Schedule" for additional information. Please contact Joe Bisognano at (608) 877-2163 or at jbisognano@src.wisc.edu for comment or clarification.  If you would rather receive these updates by email, please send me a request with your email address. New anomaly reporting form on-line at  www.src.wisc.edu/user_info/forms/anomalies/default.htm.   Please report your problems.
Special Announcements
Starting Feb 19, 2007, SRC will be scheduling full quanta of Special beams, such as Single Bunch, after midnight.  If you have a specific need, contact Ralf Wehlitz, rwehlitz@src.wisc.edu , to arrange time.  We ask 1 GeV users to either attend the Monday noon scheduling meeting or to provide their requests for the coming week's owl shifts by e-mail to Operations Group Leader, Robert Legg, legg@src.wisc.edu, well before the meeting.  At the noon meeting, the beam energy and machine configuration for each of the midnight shifts during the week will be firmly established.  The official SRC policy for how morning beams are taken can be seen at  Morning Development Beam Policy.
Due to budgetary constraints, the policy concerning Saturday beams has been changed.  Saturday User beams will only occur as make-up beams for Holidays or in the case of exceptional circumstances for a User.  If a User wishes to apply for a Saturday beam then they must send email to Joe Bisognano, Director, and Hartmut Hochst, Scientific Director, outlining their needs and justifications before noon on the Wednesday in the week in which they want the beam.
