SPECTRA
The SPECTRA program (Students Performing Experiments Collaboratively Through Remote Access) allows students to perform experiments remotely using the Grasshopper Mark V beamline at the SRC. This program was initially tailored to fit the needs of high school curriculum but has been expanded to include undergraduate classes.

The current hardware and software allow users to select up to 7 samples for photoabsorption experiments and 15 samples for rudimentary photoemission experiments. Please visit our SPECTRA website to learn more at http://spectra.src.wisc.edu.

When possible students visit the SRC for a tour and are given an opportunity to practice taking data by the beamline. After returning to their school, students acquire data remotely, and return to the SRC to present their results at a poster session.

Teachers interested in participating please contact the SRC Outreach Coordinator at cmoore@src.wisc.edu
