Radiation Safety Course

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services require the SRC to have a radiation safety course that is specific to radiation hazards in our facility. Therefore, a radiation safety course has been developed and is being implemented online through the SRC web site. All current and future staff and users are required to complete this course by reading the booklet and completing and submitting the online test.
An implementation period will be allowed for everyone to complete this course; however, anyone working in the Aladdin vault will need to complete this course by April 1, 2006. After April 1, 2006, personnel will not be issued radiation dosimeters until they have completed this online course. Remember, you must have a radiation dosimeter in order to work in the Aladdin vault. So, to avoid the last minute rush please complete this course at your earliest convenience.
